Fred G. Schueler, 84, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Admiral's Point, Huron.
He was born Dec. 31, 1939, in Hamilton, to William G. and Felicitas L. (Schied) Schueler.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Norwalk, enjoyed woodworking, playing euchre, and spending time with his grandkids. He was a member of Norwalk Eagles Aerie 711, Local 425 UAW, Fitchville Conservation Club, and NRA.
He is survived by his daughter, Trish Otto of Norwalk; sons, Frederick (Gina) Schueler of Hamilton and Timothy (Amy) Schueler of Berlin Heights; grandchildren, Stephanie, Troy, Brittany, Brianna, Cody, Bailey, and Tessa; great-grandchildren, Adrianne, Allison, Johnathon, Bentley, Lillian, Troy, and Kylie; brother, Ralph W. Schueler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 48 years, Etta F. Schueler in 2007; and son, David Schueler in 1986.
Visitation for family and friends will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024, until the time of Fred's service at 1 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. The Rev. Art Conrad, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk.

So deeply saddened by this news. I had the greatest pleasure of taking care of Fred in Vermillion. One in a million kind of guy. Fred helped me build back up my faith in god and reminded me about church on YouTube every week! So lucky to have heard even a portion of his great stories. Now spending eternal life with his love Etta sending all my prayers and condolences during this difficult time to navigate

To the entire Schueler family, I´m very sorry to see the news of Fred´s passing. I will miss our yard chats and seeing that silver truck pulling in and out of the driveway annd Fred on that riding lawnmower always with a neighborly wave attached. It´s been a sad time on E Main the past few days but it´s also sparked nice memories of Fred and Etta. Peace to all of you and thanks for the memories of two lives well-lived.

I am so sorry to read of Fred's passing. I remember our families (Fred and Fay with my mom and dad, Stan and Maribeth) spending time together when I was a child. Fred and my father both loved wood working and listing to bluegrass music. Prayers to your family.
