Ethel (Heuss) Lemert, 105, passed to the Lord's care on Oct. 3, 2024.

She was born Oct. 13, 1918, the daughter of George F. and Mary (Gadfield) Heuss in Mansfield. She married Benjamin A. Lemert on Oct. 29, 1950, he proceeded her in death on Feb. 2, 1981.

Ethel is survived by two sons; David A. Lemert (Anna) of Louisburg, North Carolina, and Gregory B. Lemert (Susanne) of Sandusky; one granddaughter, Carrie Lemert of Sandusky. She is also survived by one sister, Marilyn Calver of Mansfield; one sister-in-law, Rita (Dillon) Heuss of California; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Phillip (Deana) Lemert; three brothers, Frederick (Marie) Heuss; Robert (Hazel) Heuss; and Leonard "Bud" Heuss; and two sisters; Edith (Robert "Rick") Ricketts, and Bernice (William) Enlow.

She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School and was a secretary at the Mansfield Tire and Rubber company. She was a member of the Mansfield Tire Girls Club, Chi Sigma Sorority and Mansfield Business Women's Club.

Ethel's burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 525 W. Cook Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44907.
