David G. Devo Ringlein

David "Devo" G. Ringlein, 60, of Norwalk, died Monday, March 24, 2025, at home. Born May 14, 1964, in Norwalk, he was the son of the late Robert and Margaret (nee Fritz) Ringlein. Devo was a 1982 graduate of New London High School and attended Terra Tech and The Ohio State University and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

David proudly served in the United States Navy for seven years. While in the service, he lived all over the world, navigated the Panama Canal, and earned the nickname "Shell-Back". Devo was an avid music lover and enjoyed traveling, tending his garden, camping, hiking, and riding his bike.

Survivors include his brothers, Joseph Ringlein, Stephen (Rayann) Ringlein, and Eric (Mel) Ringlein; nieces and nephews, Joey, Alexis, Stefanie, Kyle, Margaret, Marissa, and Stephen.

Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of services beginning at 12 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow with military honors at St. Mary's Cemetery.
