Darwin D. Moore, 80, of Clyde, passed away Thursday afternoon, Nov. 30, 2023, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.

He was born Feb. 21, 1943, in Sandusky, and attended Townsend School and Margaretta High School. Darwin was a retired heavy equipment operator from Sandusky Crushed Stone. He attended Wayside Temple, Castalia, and Sandhill Freewill Baptist Church, Sandusky. He loved spending time with his family, farming, and fishing, and was a member of Remember Cruising Car Club and lifetime member of the Eagles. He enjoyed collecting cars and going to auctions.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Jordan) Moore; daughter, Connie (Kevin) Weyer; son, Duane (Glenda Aswegan) Moore; grandson, Kyle (Surah) Weyer; two great-grandchildren, Becca and Kaydee; brother, Elton (Phyllis) Moore; and several nieces and nephews.

Darwin was preceded in death by his parents, Leycester and Betty (Becker) Moore; brother, Lester Moore; and best friends, Doug Cole and Henry Miracle.

Visitation for friends will be 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Darwin's services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, at the funeral home. Pastor Rusty Yost will officiate. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
