Christine Revere (Auerhamer) Smith of Wellington, formerly of Bellevue, Fremont and Milan, passed away June 22, 2022 following a tragic automobile accident in Ashland County. She was born March 19, 1952 in Canton, Ohio the daughter of Paul Revere & Arlene (Wolf) Auerhamer.

Christine was a 1970 graduate of Edison High School, Milan. She was a past Girl Scout Leader of Fremont Troops 428 and 443; a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Tiffin; the F.O.E. Auxiliary in Fremont and Wellington; Friends of Findley State Park in Wellington; and a member of Mad River & NKP Railroad Society, Bellevue.

She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Fremont and was active with Vestry, Altar Guild, and was a Sunday School Teacher. She has a very special place in her heart for her "Church Family".

Christine began her working career at Woolworth's in Potter Village, Fremont. She then spent over 20 years as a HR secretary at The Fremont Company. She continued her career as a secretary for the Treasurer at Lorain County Joint Vocational School in Oberlin. Then worked as a HR secretary from Weber Healthcare.

Christine was very proud of her heritage as the 4th Great Granddaughter of Paul Revere, the Patriot. She is a member of the Paul Revere Memorial Association in Boston, MA. She enjoyed making cards to mail, walking, camping, and any outdoor activity, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Richard S. Smith of Wellington; daughter, Miranda (Matthew) Garlock of Fremont; son, Raymond P. Rohm of Fremont; grandchildren: Erik & Michelle Garlock of Fremont; Kennedy & Koral Rohm of Toledo; and many nieces and nephews.

Christine is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Paul R. Auerhamer II.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St, Wellington. Additional visitation will be 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00pm, Thursday, June 30 at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St, Bellevue. Eastern Star services will be held 7:45pm Thursday. Visitation will begin 8:00am Friday, at church, prior to her funeral. Her funeral service will be 9:00am Friday, July 1 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 206 N. Park Ave, Fremont with Rev. Matthew Wahlgren officiating. Burial will follow in Milan Cemetery. A luncheon and celebration of Christine's life will follow her burial at The Vue Banquet & Event Center, 600 Southwest St, Bellevue. The family asks if anyone can't make the visitations or funeral, please join them at the reception at The Vue to celebrate Christine's life.

In lieu of flowers, her family suggests those who wish may make donations to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 206 N. Park Ave, Fremont, Ohio 43420.
