Ashley Nicole Kimbler, nee Burras, 36, of Lodi, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025, at University Hospital Seidman Cancer Center after a courageous battle with metastatic melanoma.
Ashley was born February 9, 1989, in Norwalk, to Scott and Sandy Burras. She was raised in Norwalk and was a 2007 graduate of Edison High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Findlay with a double bachelor's degree in business administration and healthcare management. In Ashley's free time, she enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She was a lover of Halloween and all things spooky, as well as dry humor, and would never miss the opportunity for an inappropriate joke or good belly laugh.
Ashley is survived by her husband of four years, Matthew Kimbler; her children, Cadence (13) and Casen (4) as well as stepdaughters, Kirsten (21) and Korra (6); as well as her parents, Scott and Sandy Burras; sister and brother-in-law, Hannah and Tyler Castaing; niece, Sophia; grandmothers, Dolores Jones and June Weilnau; in-laws, James and Joyce Kimbler; stepsiblings, Brianna and Brannon; as well as countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Ashley was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Herbert Jones; and her paternal grandfathers, George Burras and Loren Weilnau.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory - Milan Chapel, 1 South Main St., Milan, Ohio 44846.
Ashley's legacy will continue with an annual scholarship at Edison High School in her honor for a student pursuing a healthcare major.
