Anthony J. "Tony" Fritz, 82, of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
He was born May 25, 1941, in Monroeville, to Anthony John Fritz and Irene (Wise) Fritz. He served in U.S. Army from 1964-1970 and continued in the Army reserve. He worked at Sandusky International for 22 years in maintenance and for many years, provided general maintenance for the local car wash and storage units in Norwalk. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his extended family.
He is survived by his granddaughters, Tricia (Doug Combs) Baker and Tracy (Ron) Lang; great-grandchildren, Chas (Jeremy Perez) Lang, Cortney (Ryan Fleming) Lang, and Kyle (Kirsten) Lang, and Haleigh (Isaac Cleary) Skinner; great-great-grandchildren, Vincent, Addie, Lilly, and Knox; nieces, Lara (Todd) Fritz Holman and Katie (Brian) Fritz Thomas; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Nicole, Evelyn, Megan, Gage, Evan, Sullivan, and Lilah.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents; companion, Marion Lucile Fritz; and siblings, Anita Fritz, Robert Fritz, and Julia LaFene.
Funeral Mass will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron, with Pastor Doug Garand officiating. At the conclusion of Mass, military honors will be provided.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.

Tony was a man of great character and integrity, and great friend to the Dreyer family. He had a special relationship with my parents Bill and Fran Dreyer, serving as Dreyer Properties´ handyman for over 15 years. Whenever Dad needed help he would call Tony, whenever Tony needed an odd job, Dad would find him one.
A finer man you will never meet.
