Willie Handshoe, 69, a resident of Willard, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Mercy Health - Willard Hospital.
He was born May 20, 1951, in Willard, the son of Vincent and Carrie (Bolen) Handshoe.
Willie retired from RR Donnelley's in Willard and loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. His family was most important to him and he cherished the time he spent with them.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rochelle (Reiderman) Handshoe; four children, Crystal Handshoe, Andrew (Courtney) Handshoe, Jessica Handshoe (Michael Johnson), and Courtney (Shawn) Patrick; seven grandchildren who affectionately called him Papaw, Hunter, Emariah, Reese, Maisy, Masyn, Weston, and Corey; five siblings, Claude (Gaylene) Handshoe, Lorrean (Rodney) Backensto, Charlene Gasparac, Robert (Bonnie) Handshoe, and David (Lisa) Handshoe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brian Handshoe; and two sisters, Evelyn Robinson and Lynn Tackett.
A gathering for friends and family will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Secor Funeral Home.
