Bill was born Aug. 21,1927. He came to know Jesus in his late 20's, and was a devoted Christian who lived his life with grace, humility and a steadfast belief in God's promises. Bill loved serving his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith guided him through all of life's moments, both joyful and challenging. Bill began life as a farm boy. He enjoyed playing baseball in Huron with his brothers where he became a highly talented baseball player. He turned down professional opportunities to remain on the farm. He served in U.S. Army then returned home where he met the love of his life, Marilyn Taylor, who he married Dec. 10, 1949. He officiated high school and college sports. In midlife he was employed by GM at New Departure in Sandusky as a machine repair machinist. He finished his career at GM as the president of UAW Local 913. He also served as pastor of Milan Friends Church for many years.

Bill survived by his wife of nearly 75 years, Marilyn (Taylor); daughters, Christine Sweet, Patricia Wilcox (David), William A. Enderle (Christina), Carolyn Ochs (Terry), Linda Mulligan (Steve and Raymond Enderle (Jessica); 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Cecelia (Zimmerman) Enderle; brothers, Charles, Lewis, and Wayne; sisters, Alice Shafer and Eleanor Flesher; and daughter, Mary Enderle.

Visitation for friends will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1810 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, and 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, until the time of Bill's funeral at 11 a.m.

I am so saddened to learn of Rev. Enderle's passing. I have thought of him often and wondered how he and Marilyn were doing. I never met a more caring and sweet Christian than Bill. He surely walked the walk and I know he is where he will be happiest. I will miss him and how good and wonderful he was with my mother, "she said, saying that being able to play the piano as the special music for church that Sunday was the happiest day of her life. You were such a good friend to my dad also and I know in my heart he led my dad to the Lord that one night in the nursing home when he visited him. He will always hold a special place in my heart. May the following verse bring you and the family comfort. What must it be to step on shore and find it-HEAVEN;
To take hold of a hand and find it-GOD´S HAND;
To breathe new air and find it-CELESTIAL AIR;
To feel invigorated, and find it-IMMORTALITY;
To sail from the care and turmoil of earth
To one unbroken calm;
To land there and find it-GLORY.

I love you.

To the Enderle Family (especially Chris and Bill), May God comfort you as you mourn. Bill was a respected neighbor, friend and pastor. He lovingly presided over Dad's funeral, and he was a part of all of our lives. The verse that comes to mind is "Well done, good and faithful servant" Matt 25:21 from Jean Hoffman, Connie & Mark Lamb & Rachel and Melanie, Bev & Bart Proctor & Sam and Kate. In tribute to Bill, a donation has been made to Gideon's International--to help spread the Word even further.
