Wayne Henry Uther, 73, residing in Milan, passed away Sunday evening, April 27, 2025, at Stein Hospice Care Center after a long-fought battle with his health.

Wayne was born May 10, 1951, in Sandusky to the late Rolland and Marie (Leidheiser) Uther.

Wayne graduated from Edison High School in 1969. He was employed as a electrical wholesaler for over 30 years for several different companies. Wayne was well loved by all. He enjoyed every moment spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Jane (Newland) Uther, whom he married April 29, 1978. He is also survived by his two daughters, Amanda Uther and Christine Moslener; three grandchildren, Scarlett, Gavin, and Walker; three sisters, Helen Hainline, Betty Halston, and Nola Uther; two brothers, Harold (Judy) Uther and Paul Uther; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his brother, George Uther; and sister, Wilma Wade.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday May, 5, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1 South Main Street Milan, Ohio 44846. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday May 6, 2025, at Groff Funeral Home in Milan, with Pastor Wally Gilbert presiding. Burial will follow at Milan Cemetery, Milan.
