Virginia M. Bungard, 97, of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 25, 2022, at Commons of Providence, Sandusky.

Virginia was born Aug. 22, 1925, in Monroeville, to the late Alvin and Edna (Stang) Fritz.

Virginia was a 1943 graduate of Monroeville High School. She worked at Huron County Probate Court from 1943-1951. Once her son was born, Virginia became a dedicated homemaker. She took great pride in caring for her loved ones and was very involved with her children. Virginia was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and volunteered with a servant's heart. In her spare time, Virginia enjoyed playing cards and being social.

Virginia is survived by her children, Robert (Lynda) Bungard of Norwalk, Carol (Doug) Tucker of Powell, and Nancy (Bill) Krepczynski of Dublin; granddaughters, Lindsay (Anthony Norton) Bungard of Norwalk and Melanie (Brian) Alberta of Delaware; and great-grandson, Graham Alberta.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, E. Homer Bungard, whom passed in 2015; and siblings, Richard Fritz and Marilyn Pierce.

Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
