Violet Mae Grosswiler

Violet Mae (Capen) Grosswiler, 96, of Norwalk, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

She was born February 15, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Charles and Martha (Banworth) Capen. She married Lucian S. Grosswiler, August 27, 1955, and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, shopping, and garage sales. She will be missed by her two loving dogs, Lucky and Baron.

She is survived by her children, Rhea Mae Grosswiler-Dixon, Rhena (Michael) Cannon and Randy (Vanessa) Grosswiler; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucian, in 1998; sisters, Viola Kolar and Virginia Dunham; son-in-law, David E. Dixon; and great-granddaughter, Melanie Joy Lopez.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contribu-tions may be sent to St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857 or American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, OH 43017.
