Ventrice Kuhl

Aug 15, 1941 - Aug 17, 2023

Bettsville

Ventrice Kuhl, 82, of Bettsville, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023.

She was born Aug. 15, 1941, in Gentry, Arkansas, to Vent and Tassie Bowlin.

She is survived by her children, Ravena Hersey (Randy), Scott Kuhl (Laurie), and Jamie Collins (Scott); five grandchildren, Heather Fletcher (Ben), Holly Powell, Heidi Schwarz (Ron), Rachel Chaltraw (Bill), and Tyler Collins (Amanda); and six great-grandchildren, Jaylen Thompson, Zachary Chaltraw, Evan Chaltraw, Josiah Collins, Allison Fletcher, Ronnie Schwarz, and lifelong friend Chris Worden.

Born into a family of ministry, she was preceded to Heaven by her parents, who were pastors; and brother, Phillip Bowlin, who was also a pastor.

Pastor Veno was pastor at The River (previously Kingdom Lifestyle Worship Center) for 24 years and continued to minister to her Christian family at Family Worship Center the last 10 years.

She was a fierce and loving prayer warrior for her family, her church, and anyone God placed in her path until the last steps of her earthly walk. She has been called "a mother in Zion" to many all over the United States and ministered in Germany and Haiti. She was a "Pastor to Pastors," a worshiper who ushered in God's presence.

Pastor Veno once wrote that her purpose and love was to preach the word, minister to the children of God and the broken-hearted, and watch the Lord set the captives free.

Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Please join us to celebrate her life and legacy at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at Family Worship Center, 120 E. State St., Fremont. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023, at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 425 E. State St., Fremont, and 10-11 a.m. Monday at the worship center.

In keeping with her generous spirit, in lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Family Worship Center in her name.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. She was a very old friend of mine from Flint. We were kids raising kids. I was in my 20's and met your mom from my neighbor Carol Vessey. We bowled together and had many a coffee clutches, shared recipes and oh so much more. She was a truly wonderful woman and mother, and it sounds like she was a brilliant pastor to many.
She always spoke of her parents and how much they loved the Lord so it's just stands for how much they influenced her! My love to your whole family. It's a beautiful photo of her. She never changed!

I am heartbroken to hear the news but I know where you are and I know I will see your beautiful soul again one day!!! Heaven is rejoicing right now and welcoming you with open arms! I will always honor you because you are the one who introduced me to Christ and started me on my walk with God. I found salvation through your vessel! My first Bible was given to me by you on the day I accepted Christ as my savior. You allowed me to find my calling of praise and worship being a part of the Kingdom Lifestyle Ministries Choir. You were my example of how to be POWERFUL woman of God! You and my youngest son Isaiah´s birthday are one day apart so I never forgot your birthday to this day even after I moved to Columbus, Ohio. I continued to stay under your ministry by attending Holy Ghost Revival Center with Pastor Betty Hairston in Columbus, and eagerly looked forward to your visits to that church every so often. If you were visiting I was there, front and center!! You were a true life example of a Mother in Christ! Even when we were wrong or made mistakes, your correction was ALWAYS done in LOVE! Rest well in Jesus´s arms thy good and faithful servant! I love you Pastor Veno!! See you again soon one day! Prayers to your family during this difficult time and always! Jamie, Scott, Tyler, and beyond! Be comforted in Him now and always.
