Timothy D. "Tim" Mead Sr., 62, of Monroeville, passed away Wednesday evening, Sept. 14, 2022, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness.
He was born Oct. 13, 1959, in Norwalk and attended Monroeville Schools. Tim was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed at Walmart in Norwalk for 14 years.
In his younger days, Tim played softball and enjoyed fishing and ghostbusting (LOL). Tim also was an avid Cleveland Browns and Michigan Wolverines fan.
He is survived by one daughter, Danielle Mead of Sandusky; two sons, Timothy D. (Ashley) Mead Jr. of Mansfield and Michael Fairchild of Norwalk; grandson, Jax Dean Mead; granddaughter, Haleigh Mead; sister, Sandy Mayer of Norwalk; two brothers, Bob (Jackie) Mead of Rome, Ohio, and Bill (Sharon) Mead of Norwalk; special cousin, Chris Whiteside of Willard; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Verna (Farley) Mead; two brothers, Hank Mead and Joe Mead; and brother-in-law, Doug Mayer.
At Tim's request, cremation has taken place. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, at Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, at the funeral home with Pastor Joseph Lyons and Pastor Timothy Blystone officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to autismspeaks.org or in care of the family.
