Thomas Ferrara Obituary

Ferrara - Thomas J., 97, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 2, 2026. Born in Brooklyn, New York, to John and Louise Ferrara, Tom later moved to Kew Gardens, Queens, where he spent much of his early life. He proudly served two years in the United States Navy, where he played football with his team winning a league championship. While working as a summer camp counselor, Tom met Nina. Together they settled in Jericho, NY, where they raised four children and built a life centered on family, friendship, and love. Tom was the proud grandfather of three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. An avid golfer and longtime member of Plandome Country Club, Tom achieved the remarkable feat of sinking five holes-in-one and won numerous golf tournaments over the years. He also loved traveling with Nina, playing cards with friends, and, above all, spending time with his family. He was immensely proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 73 years, Nina (who is 98); his daughters, Joann and Rosemarie (Rich); and his son John (Connie). He is also survived by his grandchildren, John Thomas

(Caitlin) and Justin (Jennifer); and his great-grandchildren, Louis, Emma, Sophia, and

Lucas. He was predeceased by his son, Tom; and his granddaughter, Sabrina. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fairchild Sons, 1570 Northern Boulevard, Manhasset, NY. A Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 7, 2026, 10:00 AM at St. Pius Roman Catholic Church, 268 Old Tappan Road, Old Tappan, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to DancingDreams.org or Samaritanshope.org â€" (in memory of "Sabrina Ferrara").
