Therese A. Hofacker, 93, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 16, 2024.
She was born July 18, 1930, in Norwalk, to Albert and Antoinette (Rummel) Kocher. She graduated from Norwalk St. Paul High School.
Therese was a secretary at Maple City Ice and Fisher Music and "Pink Lady" at Fisher-Titus Hospital. She enjoyed BINGO, bowling, playing cards, holiday decorations, and any time spent with her grandchildren or great-grandchildren. Therese was a member of St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, John Hofacker; their children, Linda (John) Bell, James (Sarah) Hofacker, Julie (Kevin) Leibold, and Sharon (Dave) Hurley; grandchildren, John Hofacker, Amy Smiley, Jason Leibold, Sean Coder, Kristin Leibold, Leah Ahern, Brian Hurley, Eric Bell, Ryan Bell, and Tracy Ream; and 11 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Therese was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Robert Kocher, Mary Kocher, Virginia Missler, Roy Kocher, Charles Kocher, and Rita Fulton; and grandson, Brian Coder.
Visitation for friends and family will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2024, at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 38 W. League St., Norwalk, Ohio, 44857. Fr. Anthony Recker will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church or Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870.

On behalf of my sister and brother, I would like to extend our deepest sympathy at the loss of Therese. I remember her at my dad's funeral 10 years ago. My sister and Mom would see her at JoAnn fabrics. I know my dad was close to his Kocher cousins. Ironically, he is buried next to one of her brothers. God bless. From the children of Howard Landoll
