Thelma Jean (Osborne) Combs, 81, of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.
She was born March 25, 1942, in Bonny Blue, Virginia, to Edna Sibyl Peterson (Robert Frey) and Cecil Osborne, who preceded her in death. Jean was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and family. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
She survived by her loving devoted husband of 64 years, RB Combs; children, Gina (David) Withrow, Douglas (Tricia Baker) Combs, and Kimberly (Ron) Harp; grandchildren, Angela (Jay) Nickles, Breanna (Russell) Mantz, Bryan Combs, Brad (Nicole) Withrow, Bobby (Amber) Harp, Mandi (Anthony) Stang, Haleigh Skinner; 12 great-grandchildren; lifelong friend, Jean Ingersoll; and brother-in-law, Hillard (Cam) Bates.
Thelma's funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment will be at a later date.

I loved my Aunt Jean very much always loved swimming in their pool when we visited them when I was young. Jean was always sweet and kind to us.
