Sandusky

Susan Anne (Barman) Hahn, 80, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, at Magruder Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Susan was born May 13, 1944, in Willard to the late Alvin and Betty (Thoma) Barman.

Susan, a 1962 graduate of Bellevue High School, was the proud co-owner of Cottage Rose Bed and Breakfast for over 30 years, a role she truly loved. After 41 years of service, she retired from Chrysler, where she was also an active member of the UAW, serving as financial secretary for 20 years.

Beyond her career, Susan was involved in her community as a former board member of the Old House Guild. She had a lifelong love for antiques, gardening, and traveling. A devoted animal rescuer, she found joy in providing care and compassion to animals in need.

Susan is survived by her husband, Virgil Hahn; stepdaughters, Rachael (Tim) Johnson and Andrea (Jason) Schultz; stepson, Stephen (Sveta) Hahn; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two nieces; and numerous other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Susan is preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Baker; and one grandchild in infancy.
