Steven D. "Steve" Evans, 68, resident of Willard, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.

He was born Jan. 24, 1955, in Willard, to Stella Lazar. Steve loved listening to music and cherished the time he spent fishing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by five children, Wendy Blackburn of Willard, Adam Evans of Monroeville, Tammy (Jarod) Hess of Medina, Barbie Evans of Bryson City, North Carolina, and Tera Evans of Kendallville, Indiana; 13 grandchildren who were the loves of his life, Hannah Gayheart, Zachary Gullett, Ethan Oney, Austin Blackburn, Kayla Evans, Justice Carney, Jullian Blackburn, Autumn Hess, Matthew Evans, Logan Hess, Landon Hess, Jace Evans, and Madison Hess; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Missy (Jamie) Sykes of LaGrange, Indiana, Theresa Stogner of Kingsport, Tennessee, and Shelia (Paul) Randol of Wolcottville, Indiana.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Lazar; dad and mom, Richard Sr. and Barbara Keck; son, Thomas Evans; and two brothers, Walter Stogner and Alan Stover.

There will be no services at this time and a celebration of life will be at a later date.

Secor Funeral Home, Willard, is honored to be assisting Steve's family with arrangements.
