Shirley K. (Adams) Gromley, 80, of Norwalk and formerly of Northfield Center, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at The Willows at Bellevue.

She was born June 13, 1944, in West Virginia, to Samuel and Mary Adams. She was a 1962 graduate of West Tech High School, Cleveland. She married her husband, Wyott, and together enjoyed raising their children, traveling, the outdoors, and especially enjoyed trips to Disney. She moved to Norwalk in 2018 to live closer to her grandsons and was active with Norwalk Senior Center.

She is survived by her children, Lisa of Texas, Kelly of Ohio, Joy (James) Tokarsky of Norwalk, and Peggy of Arizona; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and sister, Penny Wallace.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Wyott L. Gromley; daughter, Gale Orr; and siblings, Robert Adams, Maddie Conroy, AnnaLou Mernagh, and Samuel Adams.

Visitation for friends will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, followed by a vigil service at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, with Fr. Albert Beltz, Fr. Paul Schreiner, and Deacon Jim Tokarsky officiating. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Northfield Center.
