Sherrie N. Gibson, 35, of North Baltimore, died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024.

She was born Jan. 26, 1988, in Oberlin, to Benjamin and Vanessa (Gregory) Gibson. Sherrie was a 2007 New London High School graduate.

She was a diligent worker and skilled forklift operator. Sherrie was very caring and loved animals, anything from dogs to cows and especially horses. Always one willing to lend a hand, she overcame many obstacles and challenges in her life and tried to help others in similar situations. She truly loved her family and friends.

Sherrie is survived by her fiancée, Dee Ward; parents, Benjamin and Vanessa (Gregory) Gibson; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Tub and Victoria Gregory; paternal grandfather, Carl Gibson; uncle, Jodie Gregory; and aunt, Vicky L. Schafer.

Visitation for friends and family will be 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, until the time of Sherrie's funeral at 2 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. Pastor Doug Lang will officiate. Burial will follow at Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery.
