Scarlett Rose Goon, 3 months, of Collins, passed away suddenly Friday, June 21, 2024, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

Scarlett and her twin sister, Hazel, were born March 13, 2024, in Cleveland, to Dwight Goon and Katelyn Layport.

Scarlett was a beautiful girl with beautiful eyes and a wonderful smile who loved to give funny looks to those she encountered. During her short three months here on Earth, she touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. Her life was a brief gift to all and will live on. Her loved ones will hold her memory close to their hearts.

She is survived by her parents, Katelyn Layport and Dwight M. N. Goon; sister, Hazel Goon; brother, Dwight Goon Jr.; grandparents, Joe and Glenda Layport, Dwight and Jessica Goon, Peggy and Mike Kanuch, Sue (Dean) Williams, and Dale Layport; aunts, Mercedez, Gabby, and Destiny Goon; uncle, Joe Layport Jr.; and other relatives.

Visitation for friends will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024, until the time of funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 46 E. Main St. (U.S. 20), Wakeman, with the Rev. Ron Brickner presiding. Burial will follow at Camden Cemetery, U.S. 20, Kipton.
