Sandye L. (Winchester) Cadmus, 75, of Norwalk, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic, Avon.
Sandye was born April 13, 1948, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Ernest and Eula Winchester. She was a Norwalk resident and spent many fond years in Florida.
Sandye was a 1965 Norwalk High School graduate. Sandye worked at Norwalk Furniture for six years and worked at Fraternal Order of the Eagles for nine years. She was best known for being a hard worker, her creative mind, and her ability to fix anything. Sandye loved to go on weekend excursions down to Loudonville to stay in her camper and enjoy the outdoors with her camper family. She also loved to frequent weekend craft and antique shows with her family.
Sandye is survived by her daughters, Jami Turley and Kristin Hastings; siblings, Pat Asmus, Deb Holtz, and Duane Winchester; grandchildren, Johnny, Josh, Joseph, and Devon; great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Skylar; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Eula Winchester; siblings, Billy Winchester and Austin "Butch" Winchester; and granddaughter, Samantha Hastings.
Sandye's celebration of life will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Fraternal Order of the Eagles #711, 151 Cline Street, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions made in Sandye's name be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
