Samuel Santiago, 68, of Norwalk, died Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Twilight Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation in Norwalk. He was born April 27, 1956, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Federico and Martina (IldeFonso) Santiago.
Samuel was a loving father with a beautiful smile who was funny and strict when necessary. He was a hard-working man and a talented landscaper. He enjoyed getting dressed up and cooking. Samuel's departure leaves a great void in the hearts of his family, but they cling to the promise of their heavenly Father that one day they will meet again.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria Del C. Garcia Nazario; children, Maria V. Navarro and Samuel I. Santiago; siblings, Efraim Santiago, Josue Santiago, Ralph Santiago, Rebecca Rodriguez, Sarai George, Federico Santiago, and Joel Santiago; grandchildren, Jose Navarro, Melanie Brown, Leslie M. Santiago, and Giovanni Santiago.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Ana Nazario; and son-in-law, Jesus Navarro.
Friends and family are invited to his visitation from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to any charity of the donor's choosing. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, Norwalk is honored to assist the family with Samuel's care and arrangements.
