Ruth Lomax Obituary

Ruth A. Lomax

Apr 13, 1943 - Mar 28, 2023

Monroeville

Ruth A. Lomax, 79, of Monroeville, passed away Tuesday evening, March 28, 2023, at Toledo Hospital.

Ruth was born April 13, 1943, in Ashford, West Virginia, to the late Mildred (Allen) Graley and Bruce Graley. She graduated from Sherman High School in West Virginia and moved to Ohio after marrying James Lomax, the love of her life. She was a dedicated bus driver of over 25 years for Monroeville Local School and Christie Lane. In later years, she enjoyed monthly lunches with the Christie Lane retirement group. Ruth could always be found at the sporting events of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed staying active and being adventurous when the opportunities presented themselves. A devoted wife and mother, her family was her greatest joy.

Ruth is survived by three children, Teresa (Jackie Zieber) Miller of Columbus, Timothy (Tonua) Lomax of Hamilton, and Tracy (Terry) Harvey of Monroeville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Troy (Glenna) Graley of Monroeville.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, James Lomax, who passed away in 2021.

Cremation will take place and no services will take place at this time.
