I'm so so saddened to hear of this tragic news. My heart sank when I read my email from Insurance Services. You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you walk through this tough time. He will certainly be missed!

Even though we lost touch over the years, you were always my hometown best friend. Rest easy Rusty. And to everyone who loved him so dearly, I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Rusty and Kari were the best neighbors we ever had. Rusty was one of the nicest people I have ever met. He loved his family more than anything. He will be missed so much by so many. Much love to Kari, Zac and Emily. Love you guys.

I only met Rusty twice but he was kind. I followed up on many of his Red Cross calls and his clients spoke very highly of him.

My condolences to the family. Rusty was a good friend and mentor to our son James Wade. So very sorry for your loss.

Rest in Heaven Rusty. I had the privilege to work with Rusty at the 200th RED HORSE Squadron for many years. He was always light-hearted and friendly. Truly deserving when he made Chief and a great mentor to many. Sending prayers of comfort for all his family and friends.

Our surrounding area just lost a good, honest man. Always cheerful and treated people with respect. Very sorry for Kari and family! Rusty will be missed.

I met Rusty just a few weeks ago at the Sound The Alarm event in Sandusky. His patience and kind soul glowed around his spirit. All in the American Red Cross and others will surely miss him.

Rusty always had a twinkle in his eyes. I feel lucky to have gotten to work with him in the 200th. He cared about his people and worked hard with and for them. I am glad I had the chance to work with him. He has left the world too soon but we are better people because he passed this way.
