Ronald G. Spoerr, 85, of Shiloh, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, in Pennsylvania as a result of an automobile accident.

He was born March 15, 1937, in Huron, to the late Dorothy (Schwanger) and George J. Spoerr. Ron was a 1955 graduate of Savannah High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Mreadith (Shepherd) on Nov. 29, 1957. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and former deacon. He had a passion for agriculture and devoted his entire life to operating a family owned dairy farm started by his father and eventually ran by Ron and his sons and grandsons. Ron enjoyed working with his hands repairing small engines and woodworking. In his free time, you could find Ron outside hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mreadith (Shepherd) Spoerr; four children, Loretta (Steven) Hite, Roger (Christa) Spoerr, Robert Spoerr (Kim), and Tony (LynAnn) Spoerr; 13 grandchildren, Rosanna, Betty, Nathan, Nicole (Brian), Charity, Shane (Courtney), Amber (Jesse), Malachi, Zydaire, Dana, Dale, Gregory, and Graceanna; 22 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Audrey Cameron and Gene (Linda) Spoerr; sister-in-law, Alice Spoerr; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Albert Spoerr; daughter-in-law, Mary Spoerr; brother, Jim Spoerr; brother-in-law, Doug Cameron; and sister-in-law, Geneva Spoerr.

Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main Street, Greenwich, Ohio, 44837. Ronald's funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church, 575 US 250 N, Savannah, Ohio, 44874, with Pastor Luke Kelley officiating. Burial will be at Savannah Cemetery.
