Rolland Angersbach Obituary

Rolland F. Angersbach

Jan 7, 1930 - Mar 22, 2025

Amherst

Rolland F. Angersbach, 95, of Amherst, departed this world for Heaven Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Mill Manor Care Center after a lengthy illness.

He was born January 7, 1930, in Brownhelm Twp. to Walter and Marie (Peck) Angersbach. Rolland graduated from Brownhelm High School and The Ohio State University with a degree in animal husbandry. On September 25, 1954, he married the love of his life, Shirley. He was a veteran of the United States Navy who proudly served his country from 1955-1957. He was a true entrepreneur, owning and running several businesses throughout his life, including RaJah Dairy Farm, RaJahland Recreation Park, Mantle Rock Estates Residential Development, and RSP Land Development. He was also a licensed real estate agent and railroad inspector for ODOT. He ran for a seat in the Ohio House of Representatives, served as Henrietta Township Trustee, was a life-long member of the Ohio Farm Bureau, and served on the board of Rural Lorain County Water Authority. Rolland celebrated his faith as a member of Henrietta UMC, where served in various church offices and volunteered and served as a Gideon distributing bibles in Lorain County.

Rolland lived his life fully, focusing on faith, family, and country. He was a true patriot of the United States of America. Rolland enjoyed sharing stories, history, and political discussions with family and friends. Throughout his life, there were many fabulous trips with family and friends. He enjoyed sightseeing, learning about history, snow skiing, motorcycling, and traveling the world. His family and friends remember him for being a constant strong supportive loving husband/dad/gramps/friend. He was also known for entertaining us with his storytelling, stand-up comedian routines, and his mastery of sarcasm.

Rolland is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Shirley (Crecelius); daughters, Cynthia Oleksa (Rob Senska) and Kimberly (Tom) Biery, both of Amherst; son, Paul (Joylynne) Angersbach, of Florida; seven grandchildren, Jayci Angersbach, Kayli Oleksa, Thomas Biery, Andrew Biery, Hunter Angersbach, and Ellen Angersbach; three great-grandchildren, Jolee, Mya, and Kinsey Wissinger and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Walter and Marie Angersbach; Rolland was preceded in death by his grandson, Bobby Oleksa; son-in-law, Richard Oleksa; and siblings, Dorothea Drechsler, Walter Howard Angersbach, Frances Buchs, Virginia Buchs, John Angersbach, and Sarah Rollin.

Friends and family may call from 4-6 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2025, at Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel, 16 Cooper St., Wakeman, OH 44889. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Henrietta UMC, 52148 Telegraph Rd., Amherst, OH 44001. Rev. Theresa Carter will officiate.
