With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Roger Bryan Oates, 61, who passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. Well known as "Frog" to all who knew him. Roger was born October 7, 1964, in Norwalk, to Roger and Anna Oates.

Frog was a man who found his greatest joy in the simple things. He was never happier than when he was behind the wheel of his 1964 Ford Galaxie, especially when he was cruising with his two sons. This car was his pride, but his family was his heart.

He is survived by his two sons, Keegan Oates and Zackery Oates (Fiancée Traci Horning), both of Bellevue, and his cherished granddaughter, Lylah Ann Oates.

He also leaves behind his mother, Anna Sandefur; his brother, Mike (Sherri) Oates; his sister, Cheryl (John) North, and his brother-in-law, Jim Arlin.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Roger Oates, and his sister, Deborah Arlin.

A memorial visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2026, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main, Norwalk. A memorial service will follow the conclusion of the visitation period, beginning promptly at 6 p.m.
