The staff, trustees and volunteers of the Society for the Protection of NH Forests which owns Monson, are forever indebted to Russ Dickerman who - along with his wife Geri - had worked tirelessly to save Monson. Russ extended and expanded the walking trails network and continued to greet the public at the restored, historic Thomas Gould clockmaker shop to share his knowledge of Monson History along with his dog, Nikki. We know Monson won't feel the same without Russ Dickerman there to greet us. We look forward to working with Tom Bayrd and others in the local community to continue to care for Monson and to welcome the public to enjoy the peace and natural beauty of the property.

I worked with Russ for years at New Boston and had many wonderful conversations with him about history, hunting and shooting. Russ was a true friend and one heck of an equipment operator.

I'm so sorry to hear about Russ but he lived a long fulfilling life. He was a wonderful man. I really loved Russ and respected him tremendously as did all his coworkers. I worked with Russ at New Boston Air Force Station when I was in high school for a few summers in the 80's. I then worked there for a year doing security so I had the opportunity to work with him again. He was a wonderful man. I love chatting with him about guns and he would always show us his Corvettes and talk about his love of his life his wife Geri. Russ always made time for a summer hires and constantly interacted with us. He was my favorite. Though I have not seen Russ since then, I have thought about him over the years very fondly. He has a special place in my heart. Godspeed to the family and friends. May The Lord extend His saving grace and mercy to Russ and to his loved ones.
