Raymond O. Cook, 93, of Norwalk, Ohio, departed this life Thursday, January 23, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born January 17, 1932, in Roanoke, Virginia, to the late George H. Cook Sr. and Jennie Ferguson Cook. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Lillie M. Cook and brother, George H. Cook Jr.

He retired after 30 years from Tenneco Automotive. He was a man of community and always there to lend a helping hand.

He leaves behind four children, Walter B. Wade of Mansfield, Evelyn J. Wade of Norwalk, Jacquelyn Wade Hatchett of Parma, and John Rodney Cook (Brandi) of Norwalk; one sister, Lottie Cook; 11 grandchildren, Tyrone, Tamera, Walter, Likkia, Steven, John, Courtney, Jessica, Aaron, Darian, and Makayla; Tywan, the first of 19 great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Calling hours will be from 12-1 p.m. with funeral services to immediately follow, beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Interment will conclude at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk.

The family would like to sincerely thank all that have given comfort and prayers during the bereavement of their loved one.

What an amazing man. I think I can speak on behalf of the nursing staff, we are sure gonna miss his huge smile and serving him his COFFEE. He will be greatly missed at NMH
