Ralph Loyd Richter, 92, of Castalia, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at Otterbein North Shore Assisted Living, Lakeside.

He was born Jan. 6, 1932, near Barnesville, the son of Oval and Edith (Major) Richter. Ralph graduated from Barnesville High School in 1950. He was married to Donna E. (Hunter) Richter, who died April 14, 2024. Ralph worked for 49 years at GM/Delphi, Sandusky, retiring Aug. 1, 2001. He enjoyed woodworking. Ralph and Donna made wooden crafts and sold them at various craft stores. They also enjoyed traveling the country in their camper.

Ralph is survived by his daughter, Bonnie (Roger) Bolyard; stepdaughters, Kelly (Jeff) Goldsmith and Mimi Charles; stepson, Donn (Kathy) Charles; sister, Lela (Jim) Witmer; grandchildren, Brad (Jennifer) Bolyard, Greg (Connie) Richter, Kevin Richter, and Brittany (Kyle) Toops; stepgrandchildren, Amy (Kurt) Knowles, Nicholas Goldsmith, and Stephen Magyar; and six great-grandchildren.

Ralph's graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, 2024, at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, 4210 West Central Ave., Toledo, Ohio, 43606.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Humane Society of Ottawa County, 2424 E. Sand Rd., Port Clinton, Ohio, 43452.
