Paul Myers Obituary

Paul A. Myers

Aug 24, 1969 - Nov 16, 2024

Norwalk

Paul A. Myers, 55, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Paul was born Aug. 24, 1969, in Norwalk to Karen E. (Egle) Myers and the late Carl Myers.

He graduated from Norwalk St. Paul High School in 1987, where he played football, basketball and baseball. Paul was the owner of DP Garage Doors, which has served the community for over 18 years.

Paul was the life of the party with his infectious energy and larger-than-life personality. He was the life of every gathering, bringing joy and laughter to all who knew him. His greatest joy came from his family. Known for his kindness and generosity, Paul would go out of his way to help anyone in need, always willing to give the shirt off his back to a stranger. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Norwalk Eagles, Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 2743 and was a former Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge 2142. A proud Cleveland sports fan, Paul lived for the game and never missed a chance to cheer on his teams.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Delinda Myers; mother, Karen (Egle) Myers; sister, Janelle (Jeff) Dymond; brother, Randy Myers; sister-in-law, Missy (Alex) Zoldesy; brothers-in-law, Keith (Beth) Smith and Richard (Susan) Smith; nieces and nephews, Dominic and Gabriel Dymond, Spencer Myers, Alexa, Mara, Dawson and Ava Zoldesy, and Paxton and Beckett Smith; and many lifelong friends that he cherished.

In addition to his father, Carl Myers, Paul was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Frances Egle; paternal grandmother, Betty Myers; and several aunts and uncles.

Family and friends are invited to visitation from 10-12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. A prayer service will be at the conclusion of visiting hours. The Funeral Mass will begin at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
