Paul Richard Kovac Jr., born March 20, 1944, in Sandusky, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the age of 81. He is survived by his sister, Linda Potts; stepsisters, Bobby Tewell and Charlotte Buffington; and stepbrother, David Starcher. He is also survived by his children, Paul R. (Pauline) Kovac III, Jason D. (Heather) Kovac, Angela L. (Greg) Bogan, and Josh H. (Jessica) Kovac, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ada J. (Skiver) Kovac, and his son, Eric M. Kovac.

Paul proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout his life, he worked in various occupations, including machinist, insurance salesman, press operator, and owner of his own painting company. Above all, his most cherished and important role was caring for his family. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing.

A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Paul's life Friday, February 13, 2026, at Norwalk Alliance Church, 2755 US 250 N, with a viewing from noon to 1 p.m., followed by his service at 1 p.m., with Marcus Collins officiating. At approximately 1:30 p.m., the procession will move to Woodlawn Cemetery for interment. A luncheon will follow at Norwalk Alliance Church.
