Patricia Popa, 74, of New London, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. Born March 17, 1951, she was the daughter of Harvey and Stella (Furci) Poth. An animal lover, Patricia worked for Avon Lake Animal Care Center for 25 years.

Animals were central to all aspects of Patricia's life, extending far beyond her career. Along with her husband, Art, she would raise many different animals over the years, including ducks, geese, and rabbits. However, horses were always her favorites. They raised Morgans and she cherished the time that she spent with them. She was also a creative spirit who enjoyed painting pet portraits; Patricia would complete over 330 paintings.

Even more important than the animals in Patricia's life were her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed visiting with loved ones and attending their different events. With Art and her dog, Monet, she loved to go for long drives, picking up a cup of coffee and maybe a donut along the way, then popping in to say hello and spend time with family members and friends while they were out.

Left to cherish Patricia's memory are her beloved husband, Art, whom she wed October 4, 1968; three children, Jennifer Popa, Arthur Popa Jr., and Michael (Michelle) Popa; seven grandchildren, Brittany, Wesley, Amber, Tyler, Elly, Isaac, and Grace; and three great-grandchildren, Archer, Delilah, and Paisley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Clara Christoni.

Per Patricia's wishes, there will be no funeral services at this time. Eastman Funeral Home in New London is honored to assist the family with their arrangements.
