Ollie "Jean" Brown, 83, residing in Norwalk, passed away Monday evening, Oct. 3, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Jean was born Aug. 28, 1939, in Salyersville, Kentucky, to the late Hayden and Dora (Harvey) Green.
Jean moved to Ohio at the age of 4 and grew up in the Willard area. She graduated from Willard High School. Jean was employed at General Electric, as a private home health aide, and at Norwalk Memorial Home. Jean was very sociable and enjoyed visiting the residents while she worked at the nursing home. She especially made a point of spending time with residents who did not have as many visitors. In her spare time, Jean enjoyed playing bingo, visiting Amish country, going out to eat, shopping, and being around people. Her greatest joy of all was her family.
Jean is survived by five children, Pam (Leandro) Castro of Norwalk, Julie (Mark Roth) Hoyt of Clyde, Tom (Anna) Bundren of Norwalk, Natalie (Scott Christman) Bundren of Norwalk, and Amy Kramer of Norwalk; 11 grandchildren, Ty, Liseta, Lucrecia, Joe, Tara, Kaitlyn (Josh), Marissa (Madeline), Ellie, Chloe, Hattie, and Josie; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Earl Green of Van Wert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by the father of her children, James "Jim" Bundren; siblings, Gladys, Hazel, Mildred, Audrey, William, and Charles; and granddaughter, Nickie.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home. Jean's funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Jean's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105, or Stein Hospice Services, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870.

So sorry for the family's of Jean for their loss. She was always a good friend to me. We had lots of laughs together in life and enjoyed each other's company. I met her at IPC than we again worked together at The Clothing Bank. When I was young she taught me how to stretch a dollar, and how to budget my money. She loved her children and grandchildren and was proud of each one.
