Norma M. Rang, 91, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024.

Norma was born March 31, 1932, to Russell and Mae (Gordan) Conaway. She grew up in the area and attended North Fairfield High School. Norma was a loving mother of four boys and a homemaker. She was employed by Hills Interiors, specializing in custom made drapery. In her spare time, Norma enjoyed making beautiful quilts, being Den Mother with the Cub Scouts, helping her husband on the farm, camping, dancing at The Eagles, and collecting Hummel figurines. She cherished spending time with her family decorating Santa cookies and making homemade jams and wedding cakes. Special memories were made with family and friends playing Dominos and card games. She was hard to beat and will forever be remembered as our "Domino Queen."

Norma is survived by her children, Mike (Jan) Rang of Norwalk, Steve (Cindy) Rang of Arizona, and Dave (Tina) Rang of Florida; sister, Barbara Wilhelm of Florida; sister-in-law, Frances Chenoweth-Rang; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren who endearingly called her "Great Mom."

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Rang; son, Richard Rang; grandson, Ryan Rang; and brothers, Butch, Russell, and Albert Conaway.

A private graveside service took place at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Norma's celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 280 Peru Olena Rd W, Norwalk.
