Norma F. Jones, 87, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, at Norwalk Memorial Home.
She was born Dec. 9, 1935, in Norwalk, where she was a lifelong resident. Norma was a 1954 graduate of Norwalk St. Paul High School. She was employed by Norwalk Furniture, Huron County Sheriff's Department, and Ohio Unemployment Agency. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri Jones of Westerville; son, Kurt (Laura) Jones of Geneva; five grandchildren, Laura, Matt, Gabe, Jade, and Tessa; three great-grandchildren; brother, Stan Strong of Keizer, Oregon; sister, Mary Ann (Dick) Parish of Norwalk; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean A. Jones in 2017; two sons, Kelly D. Jones in 1979 and Todd M. Jones in 2004; parents, Stanley and Mary (Doughty) Strong; and sister, Audrey Borgia.
Visitation for friends will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023, at Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. Fr. Chris Jesudhason will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Endowment Fund, 79 Chapel Street, Monroeville, Ohio, 44847, or Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas, 66675.
