Nancy Jean Schaffer, 86, of Monroeville, passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Nancy was born Feb. 22, 1937, to Charles and Marie Zimmer and raised in Milan. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Nancy was employed at Fanny Farmer Candy Factory. Most important to Nancy was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lawrence "Tony" Schaffer; children, Mike Schaffer, Patty (Mark) Bores, Sue (John) Burrow, Chuck (Judy Garden) Schaffer, Bob Schaffer, Jim (Kris) Schaffer, and Dan (Lisa) Schaffer; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; brother, Eldon (Janet) Zimmer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Charles and John Zimmer.
Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 1322 Settlement Road, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857.
