Dr. Clark D. Stephson, age 87, of Jackson, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born September 28, 1937 in Mechanicsburg, Ohio, son of the late Clark Stephson and Ida Catherine Grow Stephson. Clark was a veteran of the United States Navy who served during the Vietnam War. He held both a master’s degree and doctorate degree in ministry. Clark was an ordained minister and was the former pastor at Community Chapel Church on Mulga Road in Wellston. He always enjoyed going to church and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Clark is survived by his wife, Mary Russell Stephson; sons, Clark Stephson and Mark Stephson (Talitha); daughter-in-law, Rebba Stephson; step-daughter, Nancy Russell Fry (Doug); grandchildren, Timothy Stephson, Adam Stephson, Amy Fields, Rebecca Stephson, and Mark Stephson; step-grandson, Harry Fry, along with several great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Stephson in 2014; son, Timothy Stephson in 1999; and 1 brother and 1 sister. Calling hours will be Thursday, October 10th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Antioch Cemetery. My Mother and Stepfather were friends with him for many years and a good customer when I worked at Wendy's he was a great man with a kind heart loved others and loved the Lord
