Morgan Noon Obituary

Morgan Alicia Noon

Jan 11, 1990 - May 10, 2024

Sandusky

Morgan Alicia Noon, beloved sister and daughter, went into her rest Friday, May 10, 2024, after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness.

She was born Jan. 11, 1990, in Sandusky, to Steve and Ginny. Morgan was a 2008 graduate of Perkins High School. In 2012, she earned her Bachelors of Music from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, graduating cum laude and becoming a licensed teacher. She returned to Sandusky and over the next several years, accepted positions at St. John's Lutheran Church on Scheid Road as choir director and organist, as well as music teacher at St. Joseph's School in Monroeville - two posts that brought Morgan great joy. She also served as an accompanist for Heidelberg University Theater and Firelands Chorus and played on weekends in the summer in Lakeside Chataqua's Hoover Auditorium for Community Worship.

Morgan also involved herself in other local music and theater organizations as a piano accompanist. These included Firelands Symphony Orchestra Chorale, Sandusky Harlequins, and Huron Playhouse. She was proud to serve as secretary to the Northwest Ohio chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, an international music fraternity.

Morgan is remembered as a bright, bubbly, kind young woman who was always happy to help anyone anytime. She carried with her a positive attitude and outlook everywhere she went. She loved any occasion to dress up, especially if she could include some jewelry items, and loved the color purple. She was a KPOP fan and particularly enjoyed listening to the group BTS. Morgan's favorite genres of music to play were classical pieces and big band-era tunes, often to the delight of her late grandparents while visiting their home. Morgan played piano, organ, flute, and piccolo. Music, and teaching it, were her life's great passions - she was yearning to return to her posts at St. John's Church, St. Joseph's School, and Firelands Chorale upon her recovery.

She is survived by four aunts; four uncles; nine cousins; devoted father, Steve; and brother, Aaron.

Morgan was preceded in death by her mother, Ginny; paternal and maternal grandparents; two aunts; three uncles; and one cousin.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Groff Funeral Home and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, with interment following at Calvary Cemetery, 2020 Sanford St., Sandusky. All are invited to a brief luncheon following interment at the Gathering Space at Sts. Peter and Paul Church.

"There's a special place in Heaven for musicians."

Morgan played for my audition for the Firelands Symphony Chorale. It was like we had practiced as I sang,I felt so supported.
A lot of talent packed into just a few years of life, what a blessing she was.

I am so sorry to hear of Morgan's passing. I have the great honor of working with her while she was in high school. I was a teacher at Perkins, now retired, and Morgan and I had many wonderful times at the piano giggling or sharing a funny story while she and I shared out love of music. I loved have conversations with her - she always had a story or some insight on something. She had incredible musical talent and I LOVED listening to her play - what a gift! She was such and warm, caring person, just like her mother who I loved dearly as well. Morgan will be remembered as one of those special people who made you feel good to be around her. Mr. Noon, I am SO sorry for your loss. Lori Conkey

Morgan will be missed. She was such an upbeat, happy, talented musician & person. She fought hard & never gave up hope with all her health issues. She missed her mom so much. She said her mom had been calling for her the last couple weeks. So wonderful that she & her mom were together this past Mother´s Day embracing each other in heaven. Can´t help but wonder if she had something to do with the solar flairs that lit up the skies & made them so colorful & beautiful! Your wings were ready but our hearts were not. Fly high, Morgan. Enjoy being out of pain & free & with your precious mom again!
My deepest condolences to her dedicated dad & brother. She has touched a lot of hearts. To live in hearts we leave behind, is not to die.
