Michael Ollie Obituary

Michael R. Ollie Sr.

Jul 31, 1962 - Nov 13, 2023

Norwalk

Michael R. Ollie Sr., age 61, of Norwalk, died on Monday, November 13, 2023, at his home in Norwalk, surrounded by his loving children. He was born on July 31, 1962, in Cleveland, to the late Marlene (Karovich) and Raymond Delphia. Over the course of his lifetime, Michael traveled the United States, moving often from state to state, living from one coast to the other, until he moved back to Ohio twenty-three years ago.

Having served his country through the United States Army, Michael was a proud veteran. He worked in maintenance for rental properties for many years. An avid pool player, he looked forward to his American Legion Pool League every week, most recently playing at the New London American Legion Post #292. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to spend time riding his bike. However, the most important thing in Michael's life was his family. He truly cherished his children and grandchildren who will remember him fondly.

Michael is survived by his children, Michael R. (Stephanie) Ollie Jr., and Heather M. (Justin Hinckley) Ollie, both of Norwalk; siblings, Patricia (Tom) Paramore of New London, Noelle (Scott) King of North Lewisburg, Jerry Delphia of Louisiana, and Betty Reed of Ravenna; and grandchildren, Levi, Waylon, and Haylyn.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, OH 44857. Military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. following the visitation.

Memorial donations may be made to the USO, United Service Organizations PO Box 96860 Washington, DC20077-7677.
