Michael R. Connelly, 73, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at Bickford of Carmel in Carmel, Indiana.
Mike was born Sept. 25, 1949, in Fremont, California.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Weatherholt) Connelly; son, Cody and Ellen (Parsons) Cramer; daughter, Angela Cramer; grandson, Caden Cramer; and granddaughter, Calie Cramer.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Harold and Theresa (Scroz) Connelly; and first wife, Harriet (Magyar) Connelly.
Mike retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad with over 45 years of service. He was a very humble, quiet man. Mike enjoyed traveling and tinkering around and building things. He would fiddle with any kind of tool and would even learn the ins and out of each mathematical equation to make the perfect cut. At age 60, he enrolled in a calculus class at Lorain Community College to just learn more about mathematics.
To honor Mike's wishes, there will be no funeral. We invite you to investigate something quirky and new to be a life-long learner like Mike.
