Mary Joanne Paramore, 75, of New London, passed peacefully surrounded by her family Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Fairview Hospital, Cleveland.

Mary Jo was born April 24, 1948, in New London, the daughter of King B. and Jean (nee Cook) Rowland. She was a 1966 graduate of New London High School and grew up in New London before spending 20 years living in Fairmont, West Virginia.

Mary Jo most recently was self-employed, cleaning for local businesses and individuals and was a licensed beautician. She was a member of Auxiliary National Association of Letter Carriers and served as the local and West Virginia state president. Mary Jo was a talented seamstress. She performed alterations for many people and also assisted making ballet costumes. She enjoyed quilting and made blankets for friends and family and carefully selected meaningful patterns for each. Mary Jo was also active with the Triune-Halleck Volunteer Fire women's auxiliary in West Virignia. She was an active member of United Methodist Church and served as a Girl Scout leader. When she wasn't volunteering her time or working, she enjoyed lunch at McDonalds with her "lunch bunch." Mary Jo will be remembered for her organization and attention to details as well as her commitment to making sure everyone received a card for birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries.

Mary Jo's survivors include her loving husband of 36 years, Marion Paramore; children, Michael and Kendra (Jim) Smith, both of New London, Ryan (Anna) Inmon of Dilliner, Pennsylvania, Marty (Eileen) Paramore of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Mandy (Albert) Osenbaugh of Morgantown, West Virginia; grandchildren, Courtney, Sarah, Autumn, Bryce, Chase, Timothy, Jenna, Michael, Levi, and Amber; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol (Jerry Reagan) Skillicorn and Linda (Mark) Roeder; sisters-in-law, Jonna Rowland and Faline Rowland; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dick Rowland; and brother-in-law, Bob Skillicorn.

Visitation for friends and family will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2023, at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London. Mary Jo's services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery.
