Martha Anne Leak was born Feb. 12, 1928 in Huron County, Ohio. She passed away peacefully on July 26, 2024, at The Pines in Davidson, North Carolina.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Golding and Julia Trimmer Leak; siblings, Geraldine Leak Corwin, Marilyn Leak Garland, and Marvin Leak.

Martha had a long career in Cleveland, as a nurse with the Veterans Administration. She received her RN from St. Luke's School of Nursing and later her BSN from Western Reserve University. After her retirement, she moved to Willard, Ohio, to live with her sister, Gerry. In 2002, Martha and Gerry moved to The Pines at Davidson where she was an active member of that community as well as a faithful member of Davidson College Presbyterian Church. A member of the Embroiderers' Guild of America. Martha will be remembered for her beautiful needlework which decorated the walls of her apartment at The Pines, and for her quick wit, which endeared her to many people.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Marcia Earl Humpal, Margo Corwin Wehrung, Bruce Corwin, Bill Corwin, Mitch Leak and Mark Garland; as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A grave side service will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 at Hester Cemetery on Ridge Road, Norwalk.
