Marilyn Ida (Reep) DeLapp, 81, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2024.

She was born April 8, 1943, at home in Clarksfield Township, the daughter of Howard Thomas and Ethel Jane (Cabac) Reep. Marilyn graduated in 1961 from Wellington High School. She worked at C.E. Ward and then Norwalk Furniture for over 22 years.

Marilyn enjoyed spending time outside, tending to her lawn which was always immaculate, and working in her large garden. She will be remembered for her generous spirit and the way she honored and celebrated family events. Marilyn loved to host parties, especially her annual Christmas party.

She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Osborn of North Fairfield and Barbara Reagan of Norwalk; many nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ira, in 2022; sister, Carol (Joseph) Cucco; infant nephew, Howard Joseph Cucco; brothers, Roy Reep and Howard Franklin (Jean) Reep; and brothers-in-law, Hooper Reagan, Roger Osborn, Harry (Barbara) DeLapp, and Morey (Nancy) DeLapp.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024, until the time of Marilyn's funeral at 2 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Burial will follow at Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery.
