Marie E. Meagrow, 91, of Norwalk, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

Marie was born July 23, 1932, in Milan, the daughter of Ralph Kraft Sr. and Dorothy (Meyer) Kraft.

She was a 1951 graduate of Milan High School. Marie worked for F.W. Woolworth Store, Norwalk Truck Line, H.D. Rogers, and Norwalk Waste Materials Company.

She was a member of St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, life member of Firelands V.F.W. # 2743, Auxiliary, life member of American Legion Ken-Bur-Bel 41, and Auxiliary beneficial member of Eagles 711, all of Norwalk. Marie sang for many years in the choir at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Milan (she said she had no choice as her mother played the organ). She bowled with the Tri-County Bowling Leagues for many years and had a large collection of owls, many of which were from outside of the country. She liked to travel, casinos, gambling, and going out to eat with relatives and friends and "anyone who would pay the bill."

She is survived by her sister in-law, Mary Kraft Andrews of Texas; brother in-law, Gayle M. Leach of Tiro; special niece, Doreen Schaffer of Norwalk; nephew, Terry Meagrow of Norwalk; and many more nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 41 years, Richard on July 23, 2011; brother, Bernard E. Kraft Sr. on Jan. 28, 2012; sister, Joan M. Leach on Feb. 10, 2012; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph (Handy) and his wife Marie, and Robert and his wife, Mildred; infant nephew, Robert Paul Kraft Jr.; niece, Holly Synder; sister-in-law, Mary and her husband, Walter; nephew, Brian and his wife Kathy; and brothers-in-law, Harry and his wife, Nora Meagrow, Paul and his wife, Kathy Meagrow, and Bill and his wife, Barb Meagrow.

Visitation for friends will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. A Rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 38 W. League St., Norwalk. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
