Marie Elizabeth (Schuller) Keinath King, 91, died peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023, surrounded by her children at her home.

She was born Oct. 5, 1931, in Norwalk to Michael and Marie (Schuzter) Schuller. She attended East Greenwich school. She married King C. Keinath on Aug. 7, 1948, and raised her four children. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her lawn flower beds, gardening, and collecting glass baskets as well as other antique items. She spent many hours working on their North Fairfield farm with her husband and children. She was a member of Greenwich Church of Christ where she was baptized April 9, 1952. She was a member of Norwalk Eagles Arie 711 and North Fairfield Women Grange. She and her husband purchased the Greenwich Hotel and Restaurant in 1973 until 1995 and ran it where she became famous for her pie making skills.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Cynthia) Keinath of Dublin, Ohio, Donna (Larry) Stanfield of Ontario, Ohio, and Ronda (Terry) Copsey of Greenwich; grandchildren, Jeanna (Brian) Weaver and Sonya (Ryan) Sebastian of Dublin, Jennifer (Robert) Rivers of New Albany, Jason Keinath of Georgia, Ben (Chanell) Kilgore of Kodak, Tennessee, Zebadiah Kilgore of Columbus, Ohio, Kimberly Marett of Shelby, Ohio, and Terry (Abigail) Copsey of Greenwich; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Marie Schuller; first husband, King Keinath; second husband, John (Art) King; siblings, Daniel (Red) Schuller and William Schuller; and son, Dean L. Keinath.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich. Marie's funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor John Grimm officiating. Burial will be at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
