Marie Rochelle Gibson, 84, residing in Norwalk, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

Marie Rochelle was born March 6, 1938, in Lorain, to the late Robert and Bernetta (Bremmer) Rash.

Marie Rochelle was a skilled cook and enjoyed being a homemaker. She took great pride in raising her four children and generally taking care of her loved ones. In her later years, she enjoyed going for car rides, attending fairs, and visiting local zoos.

Marie Rochelle is survived by four children, Mike Guenther of Norwalk, Joseph (Maria) Guenther of Tennessee, Tim Guenther of Norwalk, and Ben (Laura) Guenther of Colorado; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Claudia (Thomas) Burke of South Carolina; sister-in-law, Dorothy Ruffer of Norwalk; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.

In addition to her parents, Marie Rochelle was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Guenther, who passed in 1973; sister, Roberta Simon; and brother, Daniel Rash.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857. Marie Rochelle's funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
