Margaret "Peggy" M. Rhineberger, 87, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, Oct. 27, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy was born July 26, 1935, in Norwalk, to the late Robert and Clara (Woller) Gilson.

Peggy graduated from Norwalk High School and worked for Mary Lee's, Fannie Farmer's, and Norstat. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Peggy also enjoyed watching Ohio State football and PBA. Peggy was a very talented bowler in her own right. She had multiple perfect "300" games in her career. Peggy enjoyed talking to her friends, especially on the radio using her CB handle "Blue Jay."

Peggy is survived by three sons, Michael (Peggy) Osborn of Bellevue, Jeffrey (Wendy) Osborn of Norwalk, and Robert Rhineberger of Norwalk; special nephew, Jeffrey (Lisa) Wilhelm of Kitts Hills, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Rhineberger Sr., who passed in 1992; son, Jerry Osborn; stepsons, John F. Rhineberger Jr. and Charles Michael Rhineberger Sr.; sisters, Anna Mae Gilson and Roberta Gilson-Wilhelm; grandson, Nathan Rhineberger; and a great-grandson.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857. Peggy's funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Peggy's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
